Teddy Tahu Rhodes

Teddy has rapidly established an international career on both the opera stage and concert platform. He has performed with the opera companies of San Francisco, Austin, Washington, Philadelphia, Dallas, Cincinnati, Houston, New York, the Hamburg Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper/Munich, Theatre du Chatelet/Paris, in Vienna, Welsh National Opera and Scottish Opera.

Recent seasons include Escamillo (Hamburg, Théatre du Chatalet/Paris, Munich, Bilbao, Metropolitan Opera, OA), Don Giovanni (OA, WA Opera ), Scarpia – Tosca (WA Opera), Emille de bec – South Pacific (OA Australian Tour) and King of Siam – The King and I (OA Australian Tour).

David Hobson

David Hobson is one of Australia’s best known operatic tenors, a concert and stage performer, a composer and recording artist.

He has sung many roles for Opera Australia and both state and international opera companies, including his award-winning performances as Rodolfo (La Bohème) and the title role in Orphee. Other roles include Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte), Count Almaviva (The Barber of Seville), Nadir (Pearl Fishers), Lindoro (L'Italiana in Algeri), Frederic (The Pirates of Penzance), The Architect in the world premiere of The Eighth Wonder, Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus), Danilo (The Merry Widow), Aristaeus/ Pluto (Orpheus in the Underworld) and the title role in Candide.

Caroline O’Connor

Caroline returns to Australia from Broadway after creating the role of Countess Lily Malevsky-Malevitch in the musical Anastasia at the Broadhurst Theatre (Drama League Nomination) She also went onto star in London, playing Anna in Kander and Ebb’s The Rink.

She most recently played Mari Hoff in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (Darlinghurst Theatre) The Old Lady in Candide (Sydney Opera House) She created the dual roles of Polly/Mary Douvan in the world premiere of the Australian musical Dreamlover.

Emma Matthews

Emma Matthews is Australia’s most highly acclaimed and awarded soprano, having received seven Helpmann Awards, nine Green Room Awards, the Mo Award and the Remy Martin Australian Opera Award and Limelight Awards for Music Personality of the Year 2010, Best Performance in an Opera 2012 and Australian Artist of the Year 2016.

She has performed with all the state opera companies and the major Australian symphony orchestras, and at the Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Huntington Festivals, with conductors including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Marko Letonja, Sir Charles Mackerras and Simone Young.

Alexander Lewis

Fresh from his starring role in Opera Australia’s hugely successful West Side Story, the most popular Handa Opera On Sydney Harbour to date, and with worldwide operatic engagements and performances in musical theatre, Alexander Lewis is forging a unique career as a “cross-over” artist.

This season’s engagements include performances as the title role in Candide with Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, Tony in West Side Story with Opera Australia as part of its Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour series, and Laca in Jenufa with Santa Fe Opera. He also reprised his performance of Danilo in The Merry Widow with State Opera South Australia.

Genevieve Kingsford

Genevieve Kingsford is fast becoming one of Australia’s most sought after musical theatre discoveries, having already starred in Brigadoon for The Production Company and appeared alongside Anthony Warlow and Gina Riley in Sweeney Todd.

Since returning to live in Australia, Genevieve has performed in the Australian International Opera Company’s La Traviata; and in Sing On Through Tomorrow, a musical review by acclaimed Australian composer Matthew Lee Robinson. Following this, she played the central role of Clara in the Life Like Company’s production of The Light in the Piazza.
